Have you ever planned what you would do if you got the chance to interview J. K. Rowling and to ask her three questions?

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and here are mine:

  • Dementors symbolise depression and boggarts seem to symbolize phobias. What about the other magical creatures? Are redcaps, kappas and grindylows also personifications of mental illnesses?Hogwarts_dementor.png

  • During the battle of Hogwarts, there is a row of dead bodies lying in the middle of the great hall. Harry only mentions Fred and Lupin and Tonks who are lying near him. There are so many characters whom we never hear about again: Dean Thomas, Parvati and Padma Patil, Katie Bell. Also, no-one thought Lavender was dead until we saw it in the films. Who else died in the Battle of Hogwarts?Hogwarts_Post-Battle

  • What other rooms were there in the Department of Mysteries and what the meaning behind all the ones that we do see? What were the brains used for? How did the ministry come to own the veil? What’s the real significance behind Luna blasting Pluto?department-of-mysteries

  1. These are some great questions!! I would be very interested in knowing who survived the Battle at Hogwarts. Even though we see Lavender die in the film, does that mean she actually died in the book or was that creative license for the movie?

I wonder if S.P.E.W. continued after Hermoine left Hogwarts. It would be cool if she passed the baton to a younger student who was also concerned with the treatment of the house elves.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I wish we had gotten more clarity about Lavender. I thought Hermione had saved her until I saw the film.
Yes, that would have been amazing! Imagine SPEW evolving over the years once house elves got more rights into a Society for the Protection of Magical Creatures 🙂
